An [almost] all-U3A clash looms this Wednesday when the ‘C’ team plays host to the ‘E’ team. I guess you all knew the ‘E’ team squad comprised a dozen or so U3A members, but perhaps you didn’t realise that the ‘C’ team has its fair share of retirees too.

U3A members Tom Taylor and Tom Banton move up the order, while Alan Nolan is rested for this match to make way for another member, Sue Nutting, from the ‘E’ team squad. Andy Hickey represents the non-retired sector. The “visitors” are expected to field regulars Charles Coombes, Ken Ray and Norah Fitzsimmons with Dennis Walton making his debut.

It should be a good match.
