At the League’s AGM last night, the final placings in Division 3 were revealed: as the final game between Deyes High ‘A’ and Formby HT ‘E’ was not played, neither team scored points for that fixture; this means that Southport ‘C’ finished the season in second place, 8 points behind Argyle ‘B’, and 3 points ahead of Deyes High.

The trophies go to Alan Nolan, Tom Taylor, Tom Banton and Andy Hickey, as the usual team members, but our thanks go to Ken Ray, Jim Irving, Tom Downing, Danny Woods and Sue Nutting who stood in at various times during the season and who all won vital games for us.

Well, maybe not the Lies or Damned Lies, but certainly there are statistics, and plenty of them!
Roger Neal, the League Chairman, has compiled some player averages from the score cards he has available (there were a few cards missing, and I suspect a few duplicated), and has sent them out to all clubs. I know some of the averages are not quite right, but it’s a thankless task to compile them, and I don’t think we should complain about their accuracy. I have posted a copy here on the website for all to see.

As soon as the final league tables are available, I will publish these too.
